LEVEL 3 COURSE SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES

UPDATE FOR AUCKLAND AT ALERT LEVEL 3, STEP 1

1. Play is possible for groups playing together from a maximum of two household bubbles. Players must maintain physical distancing (2 metres) with people outside their bubble. In the golf setting, this means a four ball can be made up of four players from up to two different bubbles.

2. Pins / flagsticks can be on the course however they should be left in the hole and should not be touched or removed by any player. We strongly advise that you carry a bottle of hand sanitiser with you, and sanitise your hands after you retrieve your ball from each hole.

3. All players and visitors must adhere to general government advice, particularly all recommended hygiene measures.

4. All other safety protocols and procedures at Level 3 remain in place.


The course is open for limited play from Wednesday 22 September (unless the government advisement changes) under the following player protocols, procedures and operational safety measures.

PLEASE NOTE: Golfers must comply with all procedures. protocols and safety measures. Failure to do so will risk the safety of other golfers and staff, and may compromise the Club’s ability to keep the course open.

PROTOCOLS & PROCEDURES

  • Players must adhere to regional travel restrictions.
  • All players must register as soon as they arrive to play golf, to enable contract tracing if required. Please register using either the QR code or by signing in via he manual regisration system. The registration desk is stationed at the Golf HQ sliing door, near the first tee.
  • To help protect staff please wear a mask while you are signing in.
  • We are required to control access to the course. Players must make a tee booking on the DotGolf Live booking system. This is the only method of securing a tee-time. A pre-booked tee-time ensure there is no opportunity for players to congregate. You must have a booking to play.
  • The Tee booking sheet will be open for two consecutive days in advance.
  • Tee slots are availablefrom 7.30am to 3.00pm, at intervals of 8 minutes.
  • Only one booking per player can be made each week to allow opportunity for others to book.
  • For every tee-booking made, the names of all players must be included. All players on your booking can only be from your household bubble. You ARE NOT PERMITTED to play with anyone outside your household bubble.
  • Play is only possible for those playing alone or playing with others from within their bubble. Do not arrange to meet anyone else to play.
  • Golfers must arrive ready to play and leave the facility immediately after play.
  • All golfers must tee off from the first hole.
  • Players are only permitted to play with one ball at a time.
  • The clubhouse, pro shop, changing rooms/toilets and facilities are closed to players.
  • Scorecards will not be issued. No scores will be accepted by the NZG handicapping system at Alert Level 3.
  • An appropriate interval between tee times must be observed to ensure distancing between groups is maintained between groups. An interval of 8 minutes between each group is required.
  • Players must maintain a minimum distance of at least two metres at all times between themselves and other players on course who are not in their bubble.

GREEN FEES 

  • Green fees for (non-members in your household bubble) are $20 per round.
  • An online payment system for those green fees is via a QR code displaed on the registration desk.

OPERATIONAL SAFETY MEASURES

  • Club golf carts are not available for use. Golfers are welcome to bring their carts.
  • All pins / flagsticks have been removed from the course. A white stake will be in the middle of each green and players can hit to that.
  • All bunker rakes have been removed from the course.
  • On-coure water stations will be closed, an players will need to bring wter bottles with them.
  • Please be considerate of people who may be walking on the course.
  • On-course water stations will not be available so players will need to bring bottles of water with them.
  • Equipment cannot be shared, including clubs, balls, towels, water bottles.
  • Please be considerate of people who may be walking on the course.
  • Green staff have priority at all times on the course.
