Omaha Beach Golf Club caters to players of all abilities, with seven different teeing grounds to choose from. For your first round, we recommend playing the standard tees — Blue for men and Red for women — before trying the other options to mix up your game. Below is a description of each tee along with a recommended handicap guide.

Choosing the right tee for your ability is important for enjoying the course as it was intended to be played. For example, why play from the back tees and be hitting a 3-wood or 4-iron into a par-4 green when the professionals are hitting a 7-iron? Playing from the tees suited to your ability allows you to hit similar clubs into greens as the pros you see on TV, giving you a more comparable golfing experience.

Playing the appropriate tees also helps with the pace of play. When players are reaching greens in regulation more often, it keeps the field moving and means less time spent searching in the trees or playing extra recovery shots.

5640M    Black - Teeing ground the furthest back 0 - 5 handicap

5477M    Captains Combo - Using a mixture of Black and Blue tees creates a tougher than standard tee 6 - 10 handicap

5265M    Blue  - Men's Standard tee used for the majority of club events 10 - 18 handicap

4856M    Presidents Combo - Mixing Blue & Red tees creates a shorter blue, making the longest holes and forced carries more manageable. 19 - 28 handicap

4764M       Composite Woman's - Mixing Blue and Red tees for a tougher Ladies teeing location 0 - 18 handicap

4393M    Red - Woman's club standard tee used for the majority of club events 0 - 36 handicap

2794M    Purple - junior tees, also great for beginners learning the game Any level handicap

All tees can be played by both men and women, and scores from any set can be submitted for handicapping. Ladies may wish to try a round from the Blues, while low-handicap players could challenge themselves from the Purple or Red tees. Likewise, a 20-handicap player might try an afternoon nine holes from the Blacks to gain perspective on areas to improve.

Whatever tees you choose, enjoy the game, keep up with the pace of play, and help keep golf fun for everyone.
